Details:

Hello,

it would be great, if it was possible to create encrypted backup. I don't
need encrypted source filesystem, only the copy, which should be encrypted on
the source and transferred encrypted to the other side.

It should work similiary to encfs, but there are unencrypted files on
source disk.

  It could work like this:

- when concerning file content, they are first encrypted using a cipher in
CBC mode
- binary patches would be done as encrypted on one side.

  So rdiff-backup / --encrypt="key" server:/backup/server1

would create encrypted rdiff, that can be read with correct key provided,
but would be otherwise encrypted "encfs"-style.

     Juraj.
