Often people are not.  But this would really be worthwhile in the case
of large, mostly static files -- which are actually rather common;
think "media".  It'd be nice if one could rearrange directories of
high-resolution pictures, rename mp3s, move digital movies, etc.,
without ending up with lots of copies of these huge files on the
backup.  It's also helpful for renaming directories generally...
