Thanks from me, too! Although I don't have a copy of MS Visual Studio 2003
available, so I can't build rdiff-backup on Windows myself.

Is there no way to make the build process less dependent on this piece of
closed-source software?

| I have posted a Win32 self-contained executable. Direct link:
| http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup-1.2.0-win32.exe

I already gave it a short test run:
* rdiff-backuped a directory containing 797 files in 124 directories, amongst
them a lot of directory and file names have Chinese characters in them, from
one drive (mapped samba share) to another drive (local partition)
* Deleted some files in the source tree
* Ran rdiff-backup again
* Restored the first backup to another directory on the mapped samba share -
everything without any trouble :)

Next on my list: get an sshd running on Windows and make backups over ssh.

Great!

Thanks a lot for the effort. I'm sure there will be a big number of new
rdiff-backup users soon :)

Patrick.
