Based on the output you sent, it looks like you've got a corrupt 
mirror_metadata file in the rdiff-backup-data directory.  Can you run 
something like `zgrep "Tyae rag" -r rdiff-backup-data`?  That should 
tell you which of those files are corrupted.  From there you might be 
able to get it to work again by renaming those corrupt files and running 
rdiff-backup again.

The corruption is disturbing.  I'm not sure how it would happen. 
Perhaps you've got a faulty CPU, RAM, or hard drive?  You should 
probably check other files in your backup and see if they are also 
corrupted.
