Hi

I am using rdiff-backup to backup a directory full of family photos,
this all goes to a server in the shed for backup and then I rsync it to
another server at my parents place - just in case :)

there isn't much change to the information, but I have noticed that not
all the time information is kept in sync

so on the original server

 stat 2004022438.tif
   File: `2004022438.tif'
Size: 30981801 Blocks: 60584 IO Block: 4096 regular file
     Device: fd06h/64774d Inode: 11502334 Links: 1
     Access: (0644/-rw-r--r--) Uid: ( 33/www-data) Gid: (
     1026/gallery2)
     Access: 2009-10-31 18:58:03.000000000 +1100
     Modify: 2006-03-14 15:59:35.000000000 +1100
     Change: 2009-04-29 22:17:03.000000000 +1000

on the rdiff server

 stat 2004022438.tif
   File: `2004022438.tif'
Size: 30981801 Blocks: 56696 IO Block: 4096 regular file
     Device: 11h/17d Inode: 262372 Links: 1
     Access: (0644/-rw-r--r--) Uid: ( 33/www-data) Gid: (
     1026/gallery2)
     Access: 2009-10-31 18:57:53.061690672 +1100
     Modify: 2009-10-31 18:58:12.241691184 +1100
     Change: 2009-10-31 18:58:12.245690746 +1100

and this is causing rsync to have to move more files than is necessary !

there is one other avenue I need to investigate the destination sites on
top of fusecompress file system!

Alex
