The last time I checked, git didn't have great support for Windows. Having fought to get CVS working there, I'd have a strong preference for something with better Windows support. Has anyone on this list had experience with Mercurial?

I saw a thread a month or two ago that discussed the absence of Andrew Ferguson and the possibility of moving the code to SVN/Git. Has there been any further discussion on this on or off list? FWIW, my preference would be to import the code history into git and then put the project on github.
