Correct. Nothing can change the ownership of the files in the repository unless the server is running with root permissions during the backup. The preserve-numerical-ids option can still affect the ownership of restored files (again, if the restore process is running with root permissions) if the files are being restored to a system with different UID <> Owner or GID <> Group mappings than were present on the system from which the files were backed up. -- Bob Nichols "NOSPAM" is really part of my email address.
