[Rule-list] type of test to make on rule after install

Hello,

I want your input on wich test should be run after a sucessfull complete 
install

I propose :
   output of top
   output of mount, fdisk, /etc/mtab (correct me if wrong please)
   timing of certains applications; starting vi, emacs, X, Browser
   (when available)

etc...
