It's not really off topic, RULE does have the goal to be useful to
schools with old HW.

I already had that impression, from some private email I've got, and
it's definitely not nice, even if it gives even more sense to RULE,
particularly against the people still saying that new hardware is so
cheap that just makes optimizing software worthless.

Do you know if there are any official statistics about this? Linking
to them from our FAQ and web site would give people something to think
....................
