I'll have to look into it. TinyX doesn't currently use the xkb extension. 
I'll have to see if I can change that at build time.

It appears their may be some function in the kdrive servers to handle 
this, but it isn't documented, I'll need to peek at the code. From the 
Xvesa man page:

KEYBOARD
       To be written.
