Category: Web Frontend
Severity: 1 - Enhancement
Priority: 1 - Later
Resolution: None
Assigned to: None
Status: Closed
Fixed Release:
Affected release: DEV_2003-09-05_CERN

Summary: no browser information automatically added

Original Submission: The bug tracker, which is now the system used for every
trackers, miss the ability to automatically save User-Agent, for initial
submission AND comments.

As a matter of fact, I frequently had a clue of the problem of a user
submitting a support request by checking is UA (for instance, CVS problems with
MacOS, SSL problems with MSIE).

It provides useful additional information automatically, without being to
intrusive (anybody can forge his UA), so I think it is something that really
need to be introduced. It must be trivial change but must be done in clever way
(not addition of crap ontop of existing crap).
