A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Jan Z. <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Project SpaceBar
System name: spacebar
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Our project ( SpaceBar ) will aim at developing a free modular 2D engine for
games like Asteroids, a jump and run, a scroll-down arcarde or a RPG. The
engine should be portable and initialy running on GNU/Linux and win32. We want
to code in C++ and intend to use the SDL ( -> www.libsdl.org ) for Sound, Input
and OpenGL. Another goal will be an editor for designing games and their maps
for this engine. With the growing of the engine we want to design some free
games based on this engine. Later the engine should support multiplayer over
TCP/IP and also computer controled players.
It will be licenced under the GPL.
The engine does not exist, but we are working on it.
