Jan-Hendrik Palic <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: gnome-iconedit
System name: giconed
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

Gnome-iconedit is an iconeditor for gnome. But it is not maintained by the
upstream authors since last year in the summer. The last release is from 20th
of the august.

My attantion is, to make it gnome2 compliant and maintain it.

The currently features of gnome-iconedit are:

+Brush mode where contents of the paste buffer can be pasted
anywhere on the screen
+Loads any format Gdk-Pixbuf can handle.
