A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
David Moreno <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Svas
System name: svas
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Svas is a distributed Alife envoroment consisting in a world
server, a graphic and control clients, and several agent clients.
Agents are composed of cylinders.
The world server (which may be distributed), apart from
communicate to clients, checks for collissions, checks the
senses of the agents, communicate with graphic clients
if there are any connected, and act as the control client wants.
The graphic and control client, developed in KDE and OpenGL,
let you watch the status of the wolrd, navigate around, and
manage some of the world server options, as save, load
and quit.
The last and more interesting things are the agent clients, that
are programmed to behave in a desired way (or better, to
evolve). Agent clients manage not one only agent, butt, in theory,
thousands of individuals.
All three parts communicate with each other using TCP/IP, so
everybody can develop new agent clients, new graphic clients,
new control clients of even a new world server.
It does not exist yet but I\'m working on it,
as part of my end of carrer work.
