A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Andreas Tscharner <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: QueueControl
System name: qc
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

QueueControl is a program intended for use on a printserver (or maybe also on a
workstation whith many print jobs). It allows the user to control the queue(s)
of the installed printer(s) (hence the name).

But QueueControl has some more features. Using filters, it is possible
to:
* Priorize jobs depending on
        - size
        - user
        - or manually
* alarm user if a job matches some criteria (or is being started)
* defer job execution depending on
        - size
        - user
        - or manually
(for example: print the large documents during the night)

QueueControl was developed on a GNU/Linux system with LPRng as printing system,
but due to its modular construction, versions for other operating systems are
possible as well as other printing systems.

The front end uses ncurses if QueueControl is started on a tty or a
graphical interface (using GTK) if started in a X environment.

It does not exist yet but I\'m working on it.
