Would someone please take a look at arch and tell
me what you think of it? Is it really better than CVS?
Would we want to use it instead of CVS?

Please ack if you are interested in doing this.

There is a new version of `arch' at www.regexps.com.

The new version is fast and unambiguously has more and better features
than CVS.

I'm starting to get questions from people who suggest they _might_
want to contribute non-trivial amounts of code. Would you consider
the FSF accepting a copyright assignment for `arch'?

There are some parts of the code, such as the Hackerlab C library, for
which I'd like a *dual* assignment. That is, unless 3rd parties
contribute lots of code to it, I'd like to retain rights to it. (If
there are lots of contributors, then that ability is no longer
important to me -- the FSF should own the changes of those
contributors, so it might as well own my changes too).

Finally, I'd like to encourage some FS projects, e.g. emacs, GCC and
savanah, to consider adopting arch.
