[Savannah-hackers] savannah.gnu.org: submission of CNC Utilities

Subject: [Savannah-hackers] savannah.gnu.org: submission of CNC Utilities

A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Matt Shaver <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: CNC Utilities
System name: cncutils
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

The cncutils project will develop a series of small, single purpose programs
useful to programmers of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools. Nearly
all CNC machines are programmed via text files conforming to the EIA RS-274
standard (commonly referred to as \"G-code\"), and the output format will be a
generic dialect emphasizing maximum compatibility among different makes of CNC
controls. The utilities in this project will aid in the creation of new CNC
programs, editing and syntax checking, toolpath visualization (initially with
an interface to gnuplot), and conversion of other data formats (such as
graphics files or topological data) into CNC control programs.

At this point I\'ve written one utility that converts .bmp graphics files into
G-code. It\'s called bmp2cnc and a beta version is at:

Loic Dachary wrote and requested that I resubmit this project without GNU in
the name. So, here it is!

 Hi,

Unless I\'m mistaken, the CNC Utilities project you submitted to
Savannah is not (yet [;-)] part of the GNU project. Could you please submit it
again with a name that does not contain GNU ?

        Thanks in advance,
