A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Paolo Gianrossi <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: GaNIMeD
System name: ganimed
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
GaNIMeD (GaNIMeD\'s a Networked Interface (for) Medical Data) is a web based
database application to deal with Medical Data, mostly on a cardiological
basis. It will have a neat, portable and easy-to-use interface, a type-setting
quality report generator, an extensive support for medical data analysis (for
research) and much more.
It is based on a multi-privilege system wich will allow different people to
perform different operations on the data.
The basic idea is to allow not only doctors, but patients as well to gain
access to the data. This way a patient will be able to retrieve important
information on his medical situation. This is useful in various ways.
GaNIMeD is written in HTML and PHP. It uses PostgreSQL as a database backend.
It does not exist yet but I\'m working on it.
