This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Miguel Coca <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: GNU SpaceChart
System name: spacechart
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Description:
GNU SpaceChart is a program that allows you to see a map of the stars in 3D,
check the distance between them and rotate them, so that you can see how they
are distributed in space from any point of view outside of the Solar System.
It supports filtering the stars according to several physical attributes, so
that you only see the ones you are interested in. The program also shows, at
the user request, lines between those stars that are closer than a given
distance to each other.
Spacechart is fully customizable with config files, and automatic generation of
those files is planned for the next release.
It already exists and you can download the latest distribution at
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/spacechart/spacechart-0.9.4.tar.gz
Other Software Required:
Spacechart requires the GNOME libraries to run.
Other Comments:
The program has already been approved as a GNU package by Richard Stallman.
