A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Francesco Poli <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Stopper
System name: stopper
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

Description:
Stopper is a simple Perl script for Unix systems.

It periodically checks a text file (say TEXT) for the presence of string
\" nan \" in its last line.
If the string is found, it copies a specified file (say SOURCE) to another
specified one (say DEST) and exits succefully.
If TEXT length doesn\'t change for a specified number of periods, it exits
unsuccessfully.

Stopper can also check a specified column of file TEXT. If its last numeric
value is less than or equal to a specified threshold, Stopper copies SOURCE
to DEST and exits successfully.

All specified parameters are passed through command line as arguments.
Stopper has no input and no output (acts as a sort of daemon if executed in
background).

It may be useful in automatic monitoring CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
calculations.

It already exists and you can see it at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/stopper/

Other Software Required:
Perl interpreter and Unix basic commands
