Package: K-3D
System name: k3d

Description:
K-3D is a free 3D modeler licensed under the GNU GPL.

With K-3D, you can model, animate and interact with animations while they play
back.
Written in ANSI C++, the application is based on accompanying libraries
handling GTK+, OpenGL and XML.
The architecture allows complete extensibility at runtime through third-party
plug-ins.
A scripting interface with open API, uses JavaScript to provide interactive
tutorials and macros.
Background and batch rendering through the Pixar RenderMan Interface renders
motion-picture-quality images with a wide variety of rendering engines.
An Undo/Redo system is in beta stage of development.

The project already exists and moved to Sourceforge at the beginning of the
year (2002) when its founder and maintainer Tim Shead had to stop working on it.
