A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Javier Fernandez-Sanguino Peña <address@hidden> described the package as
follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Tiger UNIX security audit tool and intru
System name: tiger
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

Description:
TIGER, or the \'tiger\' scripts, is a set of Bourne shell
scripts, C programs and data files which are used to perform
a security audit of UNIX systems. The security audit results are
useful both to do system analysis (security auditing) as well as to
check in real-time tests to systems (host-based intrusion detection)

The original Tiger, available at
<a
href=\"http://www.net.tamu.edu/ftp/security/TAMU\";>http://www.net.tamu.edu/ftp/security/TAMU</A>
has suffered for some fragmentation, including the
<a href=\"http://www-arc.com/tara/index.shtml\";>TARA</A> version and
<a href=\"http://packages.debian.org/tiger\";>Debian GNU/Linux</A> version
(latest 2.2.4p2-5 version integrates all the above changes).

This project is created in order to unite all the free software
efforts and produce a new Tiger version. Including support beyond the one given
to Debian GNU/Linux packages.

The source code base which will be used for this project is the one provided at
Debian, full tar.gz available at
http://www.dat.etsit.upm.es/~jfs/debian/security/tiger/tiger-savannah.tgz

Other Software Required:
Tiger needs a standard POSIX shell to run, a C compiler if you wish to compile
the binaries used and some other (optional) utilities, including the standard
UNIX file utilities and text utilities (sed, awk, grep). The GNU versions work
fine for this.
