Andrew Mitchell <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: lgpl
Other License:
Package: DotGNU Libraries
System name: dotgnu-libs
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

Description:
This project is for DotGNU libraries that will be submitted by users.
At this stage we have 3-4 small libraries that may possibly be included -
initial scratchings for one of them is at
http://ajmitch.dhis.org/~ajmitch/dotgnu.rpc.tar.gz

This library is an implementation of RPC abstraction written in C#, which will
allow for pluggable RPC transports such as XML-RPC, SOAP, etc. It is based on
the GComm python implementation in GNU Enterprise.

dotgnu.sql is another library which will be included - it provides a C#
interface to various Free/OSS SQL compatible databases.

dotgnu.pm is a pattern matching library

Both of these will have source available ASAP
Authors are willing to make their code part of the GNU project

Other Software Required:
For C# Libraries:
DotGNU Portable.NET is the primary C# compiler & runtime used

Other Comments:
Permission to use the dotgnu- prefix has been granted by DotGNU Steering
Committee members on IRC
