Cannot upload project file, tops.tgz, to the project
File area.

Initial problem:

address@hidden /opt/tops > scp tops.tgz
address@hidden:/upload/tops/

@ WARNING: POSSIBLE DNS SPOOFING

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
The RSA1 host key for freesoftware.fsf.org has changed,
and the key for the according IP address 199.232.41.7
is unknown. This could either mean that
DNS SPOOFING is happening or the IP address for the
host
and its host key have changed at the same time.

CHANGED! @
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY!
Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now
(man-in-the-middle attack)!
It is also possible that the RSA1 host key has just
been changed.
The fingerprint for the RSA1 key sent by the remote
host is
fa:73:fd:5b:f3:56:3c:dd:2d:06:b7:f9:6c:46:8e:05.
Please contact your system administrator.
Add correct host key in /home/dale/.ssh/known_hosts to
get rid of this message.
Offending key in /home/dale/.ssh/known_hosts:2

horses.

lost connection

After deleting offending key line 2 in file:

  /home/dale/.ssh/known_hosts:2

and setting ssh config to say:

   StrictHostKeyChecking no

then got:

address@hidden /opt/tops > scp tops.tgz
address@hidden:/upload/tops/
Warning: Permanently added

of known hosts.

lost connection
address@hidden /opt/tops > scp tops.tgz
address@hidden:/upload/tops/

So ssh added a new entry to replace deleted one in list
of known hosts.

But my password is not good. Yet it still works on
CVS:

address@hidden /opt/tops/tops > cvs
address@hidden:/cvsroot/tops update -d
Enter passphrase for RSA key 'address@hidden':
Warning: Remote host denied X11 forwarding.
? Makefile.linux1
? src/tops

cvs server: Updating sys
cvs server: Updating test

address@hidden /opt/tops/tops

Because my password still works on CVS, I hesitate to
go through the process of changing it. At least one
thing is still working :-)

Thank you,

Dale
