A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Bernd Paysan <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: GNU Forth
System name: gforth
Type: 1
Description:
Gforth is a fast and portable implementation of the ANS Forth language. It
works nicely with the Emacs editor, offers some nice features such as input
completion and history and a powerful locals facility, and it even has (the
beginnings of) a manual. Gforth employs traditional implementation techniques:
its inner innerpreter is indirect or direct threaded. Gforth is distributed
under the GNU General Public license.
Gforth runs under Unix and DOS and should not be hard to port to other systems
supported by GCC.
It already exists and you can download the latest distribution at
http://www.complang.tuwien.ac.at/forth/gforth/gforth-0.5.0.tar.gz
Other Software Required:
GCC, GNU m4, gmake
Other Comments:
Gforth is already a GNU package, we just want to use some infrastructure like
bug tracking system, public CVS, etc.
