Description:
The Spaceless Village project is a software project dedicated to the creation
and establishment of a new world through which humans and non-human beings may
navigate, interact, and communicate with both the world, objects in the world,
and with each other.

A spaceless village is designed to be like the real world so it feels familiar
and is understood. Villages exist in which homes are built, and beings live,
the inside of which is private to its occupants. Outside the home is the
public space where beings interact, navigate, where machines operate, where
objects are entered for education and enjoyment. Over time, villages may form
cities, countries, and beyond.

Productive work can occur in this setting, and especially new forms of
collaboration and public discourse. Time is synchronized with the real world,
and the state of the world endures beyond one\'s connection to it.

Adaptive agents can grow and learn in a spaceless village in ways never
possible running within the confines of a specific application. Ultimately,
these agents may manifest themselves in the real world.

The hope is that the spaceless village can be accessed from a variety of
computing platforms and devices, have data feeds into and out of the real
world, and stretch beyond the confines of traditional distributed computing or
the client/server paradigm.

This project does not exist yet. Research and development will occur as a free
software project hosted by savannah.gnu.org.

Other Software Required:
This is intended to be accessed from a variety of computing platforms and
devices.

Other Comments:
If possible, legal consideration must be given to protect the freedom of all
information entering a spaceless village.
