Once you registered a project here, you can send us your CVS
tree tarball and we will insert it here.
About the mailing-list, we've never done archives importing
before. But it's maybe poissible.
« Also, I see that many project home pages are hosted on
your servers. Would that be true of a new project as well? »
Yes.

Hello,
I have been watching with distress as VA has been going
down the tubes. I am considering getting my project
out of sourceforge while the getting is good. Is there
a way to transplant the CVS tree, including all history
of past changes? (the FAQ entry at
https://savannah.gnu.org/faq/?group_id=11&question=How_do_I_import_my_project_into_the_CVS.txt
assumes that the user has not been developing sans CVS
all along).
I have also used its bug and mailing list features. I
suppose the bugs would need to be cut/pasted (not big
deal since there are 30 of them). The mailing list
archives would be lost unless you can think of a clever
way to move them. Not that they're that essential either.
Also, I see that many project home pages are hosted on
your servers. Would that be true of a new project as well?
FYI the project I am considering moving is
"copter-commander" (coco.sourceforge.net).
