A package was submitted to savannah.nongnu.org
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Christoph Reichenbach <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: FreeSCI
System name: freesci
Type: non-GNU

Description:
FreeSCI is a free (clean-room) re-implementation of Sierra On-Line\'s SCI
interpreter (bytecode interpreter with library functions focussing on
multimedia capabilities) (Examples for popular non-free SCI programs are
Leisure Suit Larry 2,3,5,6,7, Quest for Glory 1,2,3,4, and Space Quest
3,4,5,6). Core motivation is to make the aforementioned SCI games playable
using only free software (other than the game scripts themselves). See
\"required software\" for more comments on this.

The project already exists and is hosted at http://freesci.linuxgames.com.

Other Software Required:
A cc (gcc works fine), (f)lex, yacc or bison, perl, automake, autoconf.
xsltproc and sgmltools are required for building documentation.

To do anything useful, it requires SCI scripts; right now, all existing SCI
scripts are either non-free or of questionable legality. Documentation is
provided to allow the creation of free SCI scripts, a free SCI script compiler
is being hosted at https://sourceforge.net/projects/scicompiler

Other Comments:
CVS is already in place; we\'re primarily looking for reliable ML, download,
and possibly bug tracker services.
