Currently I'm only implementing framework, like
registering/unregistering drivers and the (thin) layer between
application code and drivers. So there really isn't much yet, just a
general direction.

Anyway, the package is at
http://people.debian.org/~sjr/libpower-0.1.0.tar.gz (I haven't changed
the package name in my sources yet, wanted to do that when I check it
into savannah CVS).

Already under way. I've been talking to Dave Turner, who suggested to
use the GPL with that exception, and is currently talking to the other
licensing gurus about it.

Not currently done, but will happen before checkin.

Define "it". Do you need final word on the licensing issue, or does "GPL
until sorted out" suffice for the first time (we're only granting
exceptions later)? Do you need source files with copyright statements
(I'd doubt that this is actually required before stuff is made public)?

Hrm, not sure about that, since my description contained newlines. I
think I'll leave the large fields empty and cut and paste them later.
