As far as I can see, this module is not installed

Greetings.  While double checking my projects web page 
for validation, I noticed that the w3.org validator was 
finding a mod_python install.  I read the FAQ about 
PHP/MySQL/Perl and I was wondering what the status 
of mod_python is.
