Jerome Alet <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: digicamerge
System name: digicamerge
Type: non-GNU

Description:
This command line tool written in Python allows one to merge directories full
of pictures taken with digital cameras while avoiding name clashes. Naming
schemes are completely user definable with a set of predefined variables and
any EXIF tag which may be present in the pictures is also useable in naming
schemes. Access and modification time of the picture files can be set to the
date and time at which each picture was taken. Postprocessing commands will be
added in the near future, and probably a lot of other goodies.

It already exists and you can download the latest distribution at
http://www.librelogiciel.com/software/DigicaMerge/action_Presentation and
follow the Download link.

Other Software Required:
Python and the PyEXIF module.
Soon you may benefit in having installed some graphic command line utilities
like ImageMagick or netpbm.
