[B8]Zoggy <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: other
Other License: The Tools will be GPL, while the Library would be LGPL with the
following special exception :
you may link, statically or dynamically, a \"work that uses the Library\" with
a publicly distributed version of the Library to produce an executable file
containing portions of the Library, and distribute that executable file under
terms of your choice, without any of the additional requirements listed in
clause 6 of the GNU Library General Public License. By \"a publicly
distributed version of the Library\", we mean either the unmodified Library as
distributed by INRIA, or a modified version of the Library that is distributed
under the conditions defined in clause 3 of the GNU Library General Public
License. This exception does not however invalidate any other reasons why the
executable file might be covered by the GNU Library General
Public License.
The \'Tools\' and \'Library\' terms will be defined in the LICENSE file as sets
of files.
Package: Cameleon : an IDE for OCaml
System name: cameleon
Type: non-GNU
Description:
Cameleon (name of the project) is an IDE for the OCaml language.
It is composed of a set of tools and libraries working together to
make development of OCaml applications faster. It includes a graphical
interface builder, an OCaml documentation browser, a customizable graphical
front-end to CVS for file manipulations, a tool to create XML/HTML documents,
to tool to develop interfaces with Databases, a graphical OCaml toplevel, a
graphical interface to the OCaml debugger, a kind of Makefile editor and some
modules used by these tools but which can be used also to develop other OCaml
applications (some convenient modules to create GUIs, to generate HTML
documents, and to manipulate configuration files).
The code is available from http://www.maxence-g.net/Tools/
By now, it also includes a chat application which will be removed soon.
The distribution also include ioXML, a tool to create functions to
read and write values in XML format. This tool is under LGPL and is
included with the consent of its author.
The current license is QPL but I want to change to the LGPL with the
following special exception :
you may link, statically or dynamically, a \"work that uses the Library\" with
a publicly distributed version of the Library to produce an executable file
containing portions of the Library, and distribute
that executable file under terms of your choice, without any of the
additional requirements listed in clause 6 of the GNU Library General
Public License. By \"a publicly distributed version of the Library\",
we mean either the unmodified Library as distributed by INRIA, or a
modified version of the Library that is distributed under the
conditions defined in clause 3 of the GNU Library General Public
License. This exception does not however invalidate any other reasons
why the executable file might be covered by the GNU Library General
Public License.
