Unix Text Processing (UTP) is a Unix book with an emphasis on using Unix for
writing and publishing tasks. The UTP Transcription Project has been recreating
the source code to UTP, using groff and related GNU tools. The current phase
aims primarily to recreate the original; the indexing is the last step and
we\'re about halfway through that. The next phase is to modernize UTP, covering
the extended features provided by groff, gawk, and so forth.
A secondary goal is to link to, or perhaps recreate, replacements for a few
Documenter\'s Workbench (DWB) utilities mentioned in the UTP.
Other Software Required:
All dependencies are on Free tools.
