This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

John Hornbeck <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: FireFly
System name: firefly
Type: non-GNU

Description:
Firefly is a complete Public Library system. It will include server and client
software. The languages that are used for Firefly include but not
limited to XML for the formating of text, Python for the frontend of patron
records and bib records, Perl for searching of records. All languages used will
be Free Software languages. Firefly is set to be multiplatform for client
frontends and GNU/Linux based for server. No sourcecode is currently available
due to none existing. This project is still in the planning stages. Two
developers are currently working on this project.

Other Software Required:
Software dependencies will be the Python and Perl languages.

Other Comments:
This project is put forth to give Library systems a complete and free system to
use. Existing software for libraries is not compatable with XML and this
project will help in bringing library systems into a more compatable area.
