This is a Free Documentation project.

The project members are writing a set of tutorials for the Ruby programming
language, in four languages (English, Spanish, French and German) and are all
released under the GNU Free Documentation License.

We plan to provide a beginner\'s tutorial, as well as tutorials on selected
advanced topics such as Gnome programming, advanced object orientation
techniques and scientific computing.

The current state of the beginner\'s tutorial can be found here:
http://www.math.umd.edu/~dcarrera/ruby/tutorial/en/

As an example, the current German translation is here:
http://www.ruby-doc.org/docs/Einfuhrung_in_Ruby/

Currently the 3 project members feel the need for a centralized repository with
CVS access where we can coordinate our efforts more effectively.
