Olivier Gay <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: C++ Affine Arithmetic library
System name: libaa
Type: GNU

Description:
Libaa is a C++ Affine Arithmetic library for Linux. Affine Arithmetic is a
model proposed in the early 90\'s by Stolfi and Comba for numerical
calculation. Unlike interval arithmetic, it keeps track of correlations
between computed and input quantities, and is therefore resistant to the
explosion error observed in long interval computations. All the code is
distributed with a GPL license. Libaa is now the only publically released C++
Affine Arithmetic.

The library can be downloaded here:
http://diwww.epfl.ch/~ogay/libaa/libaa-0.9.4.tar.gz

A *french* (for now) documentation which describes Affine Arithmetic, the
problems related to Interval Arithmetic and the algorithms used is available
here:
http://diwww.epfl.ch/~ogay/libaa/libaa.pdf
