Marc Bevand <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Geronimo
System name: geronimo
Type: non-GNU

Description:
Geronimo [1] is a free Unix/Win32 Netsoul client released under the
GNU General Public License. Netsoul is a protocol (developed and
used at the french computer science schools Epita [2] and Epitech [3])
for instant messaging and user authentication.

Technically, Geronimo connects to a Netsoul server (for the moment, only
one Netsoul server exists: ns-server.epita.fr), then asks for a
username/password and allows the user to chat with other authentified
users.

Geronimo is developed in Perl and provides a user interface (with Perl-Tk).
Geronimo is portable, it has been reported to work on FreeBSD, Linux,
NetBSD and OpenBSD -- Win32 is somewhat more experimental.
