guillaume bour <address@hidden> a décrit le projet comme suit :
Licence: gpl
Autre Licence:
Paquet: média archiver
Nom système: mediarchiver
Type: non-GNU

Description:
This project is a media archiver: archiving of Audio CDs, Oggs, CDRoms, USB
Key, PDA, HD directories, ...

It is entirely programmed in perl.
working as following:
  - informations are retrieved from medias using a CLI
     for each file, we try to get a maximum of meta-datas using
     (temporarily) external programs:
         * id3tags with mp3info
         * ogg tags with ogginfo
         * ps infos by parsing ps header
         ...

  - they are consulted via a web browser
    (the project include a small lightweight web server)
         * medias & directories browsing
         * files details
         * (basic/advanced) search, configuration (not yet available)

   I use mysql as backend storage DB, but other backends will be
possible (postgresql, sqlite, xml, ...)

you can download the pre-alpha-0.0.1-non-fonctional version at
<guillaume.bour.free.fr/temp/mediarchiver-0.0.1-tar.bz2>

Dépendances logicielles:
this program is made in perl.
It use different (free) programs to retrieve meta-datas from files (mp3info,
ogginfo, ...), but it will be replace by internal perl code or external perl
modiles (if exists) in the future.

The browsing part use the HTML::Mason module (available at CPAN)
Mysql is actually use as backend DB
