Michael Heinold <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: ShootaGL
System name: shootagl
Type: non-GNU

Description:
ShootaGL is a game written in Java.
It is a 2D/3D space shooter for currently two players (Networking for n players
is planned using Java RMI or something similar). In a later stage there should
also be the possibility to integrate self made weapons, sounds and star ships
(or other things).
Currently you can load different starships from a .3ds file and switch through
two weapons.
After the start you can compete against one person. There are several space
stations attacking at the same time.
The IDE for this project is Borland JBuilder Foundation but it should be
possible to just compile it with javac.
The graphics are rendered using OpenGL (JOGL), input is done using JINPUT, the
sound uses OpenAL (JOAL).

The current version can be found at
http://www.bcubic.de/projekte/shootagl/shootagl.zip
i'll try to upload the zip until 2004-05-05

Other Software Required:
http://games.dev.java.net
JOGL JOAL JINPUT
AWT
