[Savannah-hackers] .symlinks file is not working?

Hi,

When trying to access any projects' webpage on

     http://www.gnu.org/software/PROJECT-NAME

one receives HTTP error 403 (Access forbidden).

The problem seems to be global for all packages. At least, I have
received the same results for emacs, tar, cpio, mailutils, anubis
and radius. If I try to access a page as
www.gnu.org/software/PROJECT-NAME/PROJECT-NAME.html, then everything
works fine, which seems to indicate that links to index.html files
are somehow broken.
