drkm <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Emacs Configuration Files
System name: emacs-config
Type: non-GNU

Description:
First, my appologies if my English is not perfectly correct,
because it's not my mother tongue. I'll try to be clear as
   much as possible.

The project is about "dotfiles", i.e. configuration files.
   More precisely, it is mainly about GNU Emacs configuration;
with a few files about free shells, and maybe a few other free
   softwares.

Configuring GNU Emacs include, off course, some code looking
more like small individual packages, like small minor modes for
example, which are too small to be individual projects, and may
be considered parts of the configuration. Here, "GNU Emacs
configuration" have to be understanded in a large sense.

I think this kind of materials is between source code,
traditional programs, and documentation in the other hand. I
learn a lot about Emacs by study various configuration files on
Internet and Usenet. And I'd like to share my files, in my
   turn.

In fact, I'd like this project evolve in a more robust and
customizable configuration framework for GNU Emacs.

You can see for example my ".emacs" here :

       <URL:http://www.fgeorges.org/savannah/.emacs>

It's not a perfect code (it's still a long way to that). It's
the state of this file (more precisely of one of my ".emacs"'s)
at the time. The comments are in French, and I didn't check
systematically the licences of the external packages I
configure within it. But the project at Savannah don't exist
yet, and if it is refused, it make no sense to me to spend all
this time to check that, and to translate comments and
docstring to English. Off course, if the project is accepted,
I'll translate to English (with keeping French comments, it's
intresting for a lot of people).

But I think, once more, this project is more about GNU Emacs
documentation. Documentation about its configuration, with a
   lot of sample code.

Other Software Required:
Well, GNU Emacs, and maybe other free software like shells,
but nothing less free or less fundamental :-).

Other Comments:
     (none)
