Simon Foster <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Haskell Interoperation Framework
System name: haifa
Type: non-GNU

Description:
The Haskell Application Interoperation Framework Architecture (HAIFA) is a
project set up to aid in the development of interoperability solutions in the
purely functional programming language Haskell. HAIFA is intended to be a
hot-pluggable framework which will allow various interoperability technologies
in conjunction.
Currently HAIFA contains a working SOAP/1.1 implementation, which can be used
to access both SOAP services and expose Haskell functions. To aid in the remote
exposition of Haskell functions, HAIFA also contains a small interoperability
server called HAC (HAIFA Application Container), which can currently be used in
conjunction with the Haskell Web-Server HWS-WP to server out a Haskell based
SOAP service. All source-code for HAIFA and HWS-WP can be found at
http://www.dcs.shef.ac.uk/~u1sf/haifa.html.

HAIFA has been written and tested exlusively on GNU/Linux.

Other Software Required:
- Glasgow Haskell Compiler, located at http://www.haskell.org/ghc
- The Haskell XML Toolbox, located at http://www.fh-wedel.de/~si/HXmlToolbox/.
