Eric Jardim <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Incubus Data Modeler
System name: incubus
Type: non-GNU

Description:
This project is called "incubus". The "incubus" project purpose is the
developmet of a free, generic, graphical database modeling tool.

Because there is no such reasonable software, properly published on the net,
the need of developing this project growned until I started developing it.

The inspiration of this software are the regular commercial modeling tools,
specially the ERWin case. Hence, the goals and functionalities of "incubus"
should be very similar to those tools, but more simple and concise.

The main planned functionalities are:
- graphical model representation
- schema generation and reverse engeneering to any relational database
- import and export to any model file format
- import and export to any picture or vector graphics file format
- graphical model multi-sized printing
- additional data documetation
- integration with other tools
- many other uncertains easies

The main aspect of the project's desing is that most of the functionalities
would be implemented with extension mechanisms (plugins).

Programing language: C++/Qt (version 3.1 or later)
Target operating system: mainly any regular GNU/Linux distribution, or any OS
that support the Qt library. (But those ports are not part of the project and
should be done by contributors).
License: GPL (latest release)

This project is curently in the desing stage. There is no code yet.

Other Software Required:
It is written in C++.
Basically, it only depends on the Qt Library, which is free.
