Jordi Burguet Castell <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Tensor extension to the GSL
System name: gsltensor
Type: GNU

Description:
"Tensor" is a package to extend the GNU Scientific Library (GSL) so it
can create and manipulate tensors of arbitrary dimension and rank. Tensors
generalize vectors and (square) matrices, and their operations are also
more general: apart from the straight tensor addition, substraction and
multiplication by a scalar, there is a tensor product, index contraction,
and swapping of indices.

Source code of the current fully functional beta version is available at
http://cern.ch/burguet/tensor-0.96.tar.gz

It is written in C and follows closely the standards of the GSL. It uses
the autotools, so if the GSL is installed a simple "./configure && make
&& make check" should show an example of how it works.

Its weaker point is incomplete documentation and the lack of complex
numbers support, though the latter is not a feature I look forward for
version 1.0.

Other Software Required:
GNU Scientific Library (GSL)
