I found out that we will not acutally need to move our mailing lists to savannah.

Details:

The GNU Octave project is in the process of moving from our old website to savannah. During this process, we are wanting to redirect to our mailing list archives until we have moved the archives to savannah. (I'm not sure if this is possible, if it's not then we will need to find a good way to store them on savannah because checking them all into the CVS archive will make web maintenance a large chore.) I put appropriate code in our .htaccess to use mod_rewrite to redirect users to the mailing list home, but it does not appear to be working. Is there a way we can get .htaccess enabled (or at least mod_rewrite) for our site?

Thanks,

Bill
