Follow-up Comment #2:

Hi,

The _administration_ project does not have an emacs module, so CVS correctly
fails. (Your first command)

The emacs documentation at https://savannah.gnu.org/cvs/?group=emacs does not
say to run either of the commands you have tried. The commands given in the
documentation for anonymous access are correct. (The module name I used was
"emacs")

However,

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/sources/emacs co .

Also works for me.

If you're still having problems with it, can you paste in the whole terminal
output of what you're trying?
