Mails to gmail go to spam folder by default.
gnu.org could try to help the issue by
1) signing messages with DKIM
2) publishing SPF record
3) publishing DMARC policy

>From header field is used in checking the DKIM, now it has
address@hidden , maybe it could use some other domain like
bugs.savannah.gnu.org because getting every @gnu.org address user into the
DKIM bandwagon might be a challenge.
savannah.gnu.org does not have SPF records but gnu.org does. Should be easy to
fix. address@hidden is used in checking SPF.
DMARC is easy to add, for example this should be OK with google:
TXT record for _dmarc.bugs.savannah.gnu.org containing "v=DMARC1; p=none;
rua=mailto:address@hidden"
