hi - sorry for the delayed reply. i get "not found" for all four urls now.
maybe they timed out? sorry.

anyway, it is no problem to seed new lists with existing archives (i hope they
are in regular "From " mbox format). but yes, it would be simpler if you
create the lists first via the web interface.

also, as for memberships, if you can provide a list of email addresses to be
subscribed for each, i can easily do that in batch. unfortunately i think that
means copy/paste from the gna mailman web pages, if no gna admin is available
to run the command from the shell, but maybe it's still better than asking
everyone to resubscribe.

that is, if all this is still relevant and you still plan the migration ...
