Description:
------------
CVD is an imaging and video library designed with real-time computer vision
in mind. It provides:

- a uniform interface for video grabbing, including live video on Linux and
IRIX, as well as prerecorded video in a variety of formats.
- image loading and saving
- colourspace conversion
- various camera models
- some mathematical tools useful for computer vision
- OpenGL wrappers

It is written in mostly C++, making extensive use of templates for type
safety and exceptions for error handling. Some functions use accelerated MMX
code on x86 platforms.

The primary platform is Linux, but the library is portable to any reasonably
standard UNIX like system (though video grabbing is platform dependent and is
only supported on Linux and IRIX), and the idiosyncracies of the OSX build
environment are supported.
