Description:

  GNUship is an ERP cum Inventory management software for use in Shipping and
Freight Forwarding industry. Main purpose of developing GNUship was to enable
the users to migrate from an older software which was much less in
functionality. 

GNUship runs on the LAMP based platform. Bare minimum requirements for
hosting a GNUship application server is PHP4 and MySQL. 

The users of GNUship only need to know how to use a web browser. 

Source code for GNUship is in active development stage, with 3 developers
working on it. GNUship project is being sponsered by GRT Shipmanagement India
Pvt. Ltd. 

We hope to be able to begin pilot testing of GNUship around february, and
will put GNUship in active usage around May next year. 

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  Running GNUship application server requires Apache-ssl, Smarty, MySQL
installed, on any Free Operating System.

Running GNUship as a user requires a standards compliant web browser
software.
